Terms & Conditions

1. Hire Period

Standard skip bin hire is for 7 days, unless otherwise arranged. Additional hire fees may apply if the bin is required for longer.

2. Payment

Payment is required as agreed at the time of booking. Your booking may not be confirmed until payment has been received.

3. Weight Allowance

Each skip bin includes a specified weight allowance. If your bin exceeds this allowance, additional weight charges will apply.

4. What Can Go in the Bin

Only approved waste materials may be placed in our skip bins.

Hazardous or prohibited materials, including asbestos, chemicals, liquids and other dangerous materials, must not be placed in our bins.

No concrete, bricks, rubble or dirt are permitted in general waste bins.

If you need to dispose of concrete, bricks, rubble or dirt, please contact our office to arrange a dedicated rubble bin.

Please ensure you book a rubble bin for these materials, NOT a general waste bin. Additional charges may apply if these materials are placed in a general waste bin.

Additional charges may also apply for items such as tyres and mattresses.

5. Overfilled Bins

Waste must not be filled above the top edge of the skip bin. For safety reasons, we may refuse to collect an overloaded or unsafe bin until the excess waste has been removed. Additional charges may apply.

6. Delivery & Access

Customers must ensure there is safe and suitable access for our truck to deliver and collect the bin.

If you request a bin to be placed on a driveway, lawn, paving or other private property, placement is at the customer's risk. Affordable Skips is not responsible for damage caused by the weight or placement of the bin where reasonable care has been taken, subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law.

7. Moving the Bin

Please do not move or relocate the skip bin after delivery without approval from Affordable Skips.

8. Cancellations

Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or change your booking. Reasonable cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply where a truck has already been dispatched or costs have been incurred.

9. Extra Charges

Additional charges may apply for:

• Excess weight above the included allowance
• Prohibited or incorrectly disposed waste
• Concrete, bricks, rubble or dirt placed in general waste bins
• Extended hire periods
• Additional travel outside our standard service area
• Unsuccessful delivery or collection attempts
• Additional disposal costs

10. Ownership

All skip bins remain the property of Affordable Skips at all times.
